I’m an Autumn / Winter girl. So much so, it can be the height of summer and I’ll still try my best to wear my favourite cardigan or jacket, even if it results in me sweating. What can I say, I just love to layer. Knitwear and jackets are my love language.
So of course, I’ve been having a hunt online for some lovely A/W items and it’s resulted in a fat, juicy wishlist. I used this great new app called Carted to help my build out my wishlist and keep it organised in one place.
So here are the pieces and colour combos that have got me excited for my favourite two seasons of the year. Everything is linked individually below but here is the full list here.
Last year I bought a vintage Chanel Flap bag in a beautiful dark chocolate brown leather and ever since, I’ve been really gravitating to that colour over black (although I do often pair the two and wear black and brown together). Mixing it with red, mint green, silver, pink, beige - it all just works. Very pleasing to my eye.
Here are some great basics, pieces to cherish for seasons to come, a great pair of jeans, some fun shoes, jewels. I am all about the boat shoe - I bought the ones pictured above from Mango. I searched high and low through every Tokyo and Kyoto vintage / thrift store when I was there recently (on that note - I will be sharing my Japan shopping haul soon + my vintage and thrifting recommendations). I found a few pairs but none in my size. Rather than spending thousands on the Miu Miu version, I grabbed the Mango version. I’m impressed with the quality, they’ve scratched the itch for me and I look forward to styling them!
I’ll always be a pastel girlie. Pairing that lovely lemon Bianca Spender coat or mint Lee Mathews shacket with a ballet flat to keep things pretty or roughing up the look with the above Adidas sneakers (that I just bought) is the move for me this Autumn/Winter. And I cannot get enough of a utility style jacket - like this one.
I really do love a good jacket. I’ve bought so many lately - I can’t seem to stop myself. The half trench (another great one here and here’s another goodie) is a great chic, casual option. I haven’t gotten the St. Agni suit pants out of my head, such a cool silhouette. Pairing them with a pair of snake skin mules or black ballet pumps, denim jacket or a classic white long sleeve top (I love the neckline on the above Flore Flore top) and the silver tulip Oroton necklace I haven’t stopped wearing since I got it months ago - a perfect day-to-night look.
Hope everyone is staying warm and cosy!
