Everything I loved in October & November
A delicious dinner recipe, new art, a total room makeover at home, electrolytes, must-read books and a skincare brand worthy of all the hype
Hi friends!
There was no favourites + most worn clothing wrap-up for the month of October (work deadlines got the better of me) - to make up for that you’re getting an October/November double dose now! Lots of notable things I am loving and some excellent wardrobe winners coming your way below.
We’re now 23 days away from Christmas. I’m so looking forward to a really nice break, clocking off, lapping up time with no to-do list, days filled with reading, family time, board games, not looking at the clock or the date and just staying still.
Until then, I’m continuing to focus on taking care of myself (a big theme of my year) in the midst of the end of year chaos. I’ve had a year mostly alcohol-free and it’s been life-changing and surprisingly, a very natural and easy thing to.
I’m so glad I listened to the voice in my head that kept nudging me to cut out alcohol. I really notice the difference it’s making to my life when things get really busy. I think back to previous festive seasons and how even a few glasses (let alone a big night out) would impact my sleep, anxiety levels and the ability to think clearly/positively. Waking up feeling good is the best gift I’ve given myself!
Favourites
New art: Hannah Atherton ‘Cotton Silk’
I stumbled across this painting via my sister. We were facetiming and I spotted an amazing print on her wall and immediately asked her who it was by. She told me it was a print from local Melbourne artist Hannah Atherton. I quickly found her website and to my complete delight - the original painting of the print was still available to purchase. Now it’s ours and hangs in our bedroom.
At the end of October I happened to be in Melbourne at the same time that Hannah had an exhibit on. It was so fun to meet her in person and see more of her work. An Australian artist to have on your radar!
Blue room got a makeover: Fenton and Fenton furniture
Earlier this year I painted our third bedroom (which has now become my work studio) entirely blue. The next steps were finding furniture and decor to finish the space. I knew I wanted to fill the room with more colour and that’s when I discovered Fenton and Fenton Ola Mexicola collection.

I’ve now basically abandoned my desk and mostly work from the colourful and incredibly comfortable armchairs. If you work from home you’ll understand how good it feels to have a space to work from that feels separate to the rest of the house. I love this space more than ever!
I’m also very dedicated to keeping this space clutter free - and that’s also made all the difference to helping my workflow.
Electrolytes: Sodii
Somewhere in my travels I was given some sachets from an electrolyte brand, Sodii Hydration. As an avid sauna lover, I found if I didn’t re-hydrate adequately enough post-sauna session I’d get a headache - then I started having a Sodii sachet (mixed into water of course) and it’s made the biggest difference! They come in a big variety of flavours. I have a tub of the powder for home use and the sachets are excellent for travel!
The Dirt Company cleaning products
I’m always going to take notice when an everyday product associated to a chore - like laundry - helps to make that often annoying/boring task feel elevated. I’ve been using products from The Dirt Company for the last month or two and I’m so impressed with them! I specifically have been loving their laundry detergent and oil, grease and body stain remover.
The quality is impeccable, everything is refillable and it all smells really lovely. A win all round!
New glassware
It’s officially iced latte season and I found the perfect glass for my at home drinks! I just love the shape and size. You can find them here.
