5 things
A suede jacket, pair of shoes, some books, vintage glassware and an outfit I've been thinking about for months
Hello!
Today, on this fine Saturday morning as I mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually prepare to venture out for Sydney Night 2 of the Eras Tour with Ms Taylor Swift tonight - here’s 5 things I want to share (entirely unrelated to Taylor).
Ever since I bought this preloved beige suede jacket in Copenhagen, it’s all I ever want to wear.
So last week when I saw this GORGEOUS Toteme suede shirt/jacket hybrid (linked here) I fell in love. The colour (it’s more a sand/golden shade vs my beige - me justifying that they’re different lol)! The cut! It looks so soft! Love. I didn’t adore the price tag (it’s roughly $2790). Then this morning I was perusing Sezane’s website (as you do) and found a very similar jacket for $450 (linked here). The add to cart was immediate.
If the last 6 months have taught me anything, it’s that I live in a ballet flat. So when I saw these on super cool stylish angel Monikh Dale, I jumped onto the Mango website and bought instantly. The mesh detail is cool and you can’t see it here but it has an ankle strap, which I love. Shop here.
A few new books arrived! Just Kids by Patti Smith, The Young Man and The Years by Annie Ernaux and Come and Get It by Kiley Reid.
I think I first saw this jacket (shop here) and skirt (shop here) duo in December and have been coming back to it ever since then. It’s by Ulla Johnson (big fan of her work)! I haven’t bought it yet but feel my willpower is waning…
I cannot walk into an antique/preloved/vintage shop and come out empty handed. I bought these glasses last weekend and drinking my little drinkies this week as been a true joy. I got these from Potts Point Galleries.
Ok now I need to get my Eras outfit on and perfect my winged liner for this evening!
More Smooth Brain Thoughts soon,
Ali xx
